Follows instructions or uses knowledge to determine appropriate cleaning method; mop, sweep, scrub, buff, strip, wax and burnish. Participates in emergency response and exit as required. Other Assigned Duties Six months of Floor Technician experience. Floor Care Technician
Perform routine manual work involving repetitive and standardized tasks primarily related to floor maintenance. Maintain and care for floors, carpets and upholstery by performing routine and periodic maintenance following established procedures, depending on type and condition. Gather necessary materials, mix cleaning solutions and/or handle chemicals as needed. Train workers as necessary in the use of materials, equipment, methods, solutions, procedures and safety rules. One year of experience in maintenance work with significant work experience managing various floor maintenance processes including stripping, sealing and refinishing floors, polishing or burnishing floors, shampooing or extracting carpets, and operating various floor machines, including buffers, burnishers, scrubbers and extractors, is required. Demonstrated ability to identify problems, recommend solutions, effectively convey and receive information, and make efficient and effective operational decisions. Daily ability to: Grasp, pick up, carry and set down medium weight objects (25-50 lbs) Climb and work from steps and ladders Grab broom, mop and equipment manipulate and maneuver necessary equipment and related controls and Work around dust and cleaning chemicalsEEO is the English version of the law
