Advice On How To Approach My Poorly Made Hardwood Floor
I was hesitant as menards don't allow reviews on their sites and couldn't find any info on this wood, but it was the only hardwood my wife and I could get along on and it had a nice texture . It's not engineered hardwood, its oak flooring is pre-finished with an aluminum oxide coating which I read would be super protective. In one room I used an oil based oil which worked well but took too long to harden and the house was not habitable at that time due to the fumes. I'm very worried at this point that if I even try to put this Bona Mega on the floor it's going to seep into those hairline cracks in the wood finish and cause them to warp and crack like it did on other parts. These are the smallest cracks barely visible to the human eye, but in one of the other rooms when I put the sealant on it caused this piece of wood to lift and crack. I'm pretty fed up at this point and I'm considering tearing it up and buying bamboo flooring, but I've really invested a lot of time and money into it... Unbiased Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring Review
In our search for new flooring, we automatically ditched hardwood due to cost and found ourselves looking at laminate, wood-look tile, and luxury vinyl tile, also known as vinyl plank. luxury (LVP). not as realistic - Luxury vinyl plank is a far cry from sheet vinyl, but it still doesn't have the look and feel of laminate flooring.
